Re-imagining How the ACT Assembly Might Work – Co-Design Workshop

Re-imagining Governance for the ACT: A Public Event Series, part 3

Co‑Designing the Future of ACT Governance | Community Workshop |

Hosted by CAPaD & Active Democracy Bean

After two weeks of public polling and a major panel discussion, we’re inviting the community together to turn ideas for reforms to the ACT Legislative Assembly and governance more generally into action.

Join us for a hands‑on workshop where participants will:

• review the proposals generated through the Pol.is poll (16–25 June)
• explore themes emerging from the 15 June panel
• work collaboratively to design a program of democratic and governance reform for the ACT
• identify opportunities for ongoing involvement

This workshop is open to everyone — residents, community groups, policy thinkers, activists and anyone interested in strengthening ACT democracy.

Outputs from the workshop will include:

• a public report summarising the process and findings
• a set of community‑generated reform proposals
• a call for people interested in taking forward parts of the reform agenda

This is your chance to help shape a more effective, participatory and future‑focused governance system for the ACT.
